Sleep Apnea - CPAP machine

Alright so I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and about a week after my sleep study follow up appointment I got a call from the home health place to be able to schedule my appointment to pick up my CPAP and learn how to use it.

I actually took this picture right at the appointment. The person that was teaching me to use it had to leave the room to get my head "gear" and mask to fit my face. I'm a size medium face apparently.

Now I was excited going into this appointment. I was excited to get a full good nights sleep.

Now after using my CPAP machine for the last week or so, I'm so thankful for having been diagnosed and receiving my CPAP machine.

This Picture was me the first morning waking up with my CPAP on. The first morning I felt good, but still tired. I woke myself up a few times because I had dreams about being a firefighter (as I am one and started doing that when I was 14.) So the mask on my face apparently triggered something in my brain. My partner on the other hand said she didn't sleep hardly at all because she was scared I was going to suffocate or get the hose wrapped around my neck, and she couldn't hear me snoring at all.

Honestly the hose is really movable so if you move alot in your sleep have no fear it will move with you! Its also 6ft long! I had soooo many questions about the CPAP machine and really when I started using it all my questions kind of answered themselves.

After a week of using the machine every single night I am thankful, still! I am also thankful to my partner, that if I fall asleep cuddling on her shoulder she will wake me up to... "HEYYY Put your mask on."

I am feeling much more rested and have energy throughout the day. Now the winter blues still got me strong but I am feeling better physically with getting the sleep that I need.

I will do another post in a month or so with an update on how I am doing nightly with my CPAP and some other fun updates with it!!

As always if you have any questions what so ever, message, email or comment!!
